This Monday at Dreamforce, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff announced that Salesforce and Google are teaming up to increase their customers productivity.
Companies were previously allowed to use APIs for building integrations, but it has never opened it's doors in such a way before. This alliance will connect Salesforce with Google Analytics, allowing joint customers to merge sales, marketing and advertising data stored in both systems.
Sridhar Ramaswamy, Google's senior vice president of ads and commerce quotes "This partnership addresses the No. 1 request that we have from our customers... Our customers want a holistic view, a total view across Salesforce's CRM systems and Analytics, where all the website action takes place. This is really a first-of-its-kind integration."
Google will combine their business-friendly G Suite (Office 365, Gmail, Drive, Docs and More) with Salesforce's CRM technology, ushering in a new age of collaboration and productivity. By offering Salesforce customers a free one year trial of G Suite, we could be a part of the future!
While Google has offered APIs for companies to build on top of Google Analytics in the past, it’s never opened up the product to such a deep integration before
